Announcement of the Long List of Items for Continued Consideration in Public Works Related to Green Purchasing
– Ongoing Review of Listed Proposals This Fiscal Year –

In the review of additional and revised specific procurement items and criteria from last fiscal year based on the "Law for Promoting Procurement of Environmental Goods by National and Local Governments" (Green Purchasing Law), we are announcing five proposals that were organized as a long list (hereinafter referred to as the Long List) which were not reflected in the additional and revision of specific procurement items in the public works sector.
○ Overview
For public works, the target structures (including buildings) are directly related to the lives and livelihoods of citizens, and it is necessary to ensure long-term safety and functionality. Therefore, verification and evaluation under conditions equivalent to actual use are required when using materials, and attention must be paid to ensuring the quality and performance of the target structures. Additionally, it is important to note that efforts are being made to reduce costs in public works. For this reason, in the examination of items and criteria related to public works, we will conduct long-term reviews including usage records by listing proposed items on the Long List.
In the review of additional and revision of specific procurement items related to public works, we examined the proposals submitted for materials, construction machinery, construction methods, and target objects, focusing on the environmental impact reduction effects. As a result, we made judgments on which items would require further consideration for additional and revision of specific procurement items and which would not, organizing the former as the Long List.
The proposals listed on the Long List are classified into groups E, Q, S, and C according to their respective issues. Based on the provision of necessary additional information, we will continue to review them this fiscal year as well. (See attached document)
The five proposals that have been organized and announced as a Long List in the review of additional and revision of specific procurement items from last fiscal year have received the consent of the proposers.
To serve as a reference for proposals in the coming fiscal years, these five proposals will be published on our website. The items subject to publication include the integrated item name, proposed item name, item overview, and review results. The proposed item names and overviews are excerpts from the proposal documents.
